Davis Foundation Diagnostic Path of Wildlife Course April 9-11, 2008

Hi Guys,
I am on the C.L. Davis mailing list and saw this conference is going to be in Madison next spring. I contacted the people hosting to see if students could possibly get discounts - although whole conference discounts aren't possible they did offer to break down the conference to daily rates if there is one particular day or event someone is interested in. Please let me know if anyone is interested in doing this and I can send you the contact info - Or just contact the foundation directly and mention that you are a UW student who would like to purchase on a daily rate (let me know if you are having any problems with this).

Where:
Covance Laboratory Learning Center, Madison, WI

Description: Now in its second year, the Foundation's primary course on the pathology of wildlife takes a more in-depth look at several growing areas in this sector. This years course focuses on forensic pathology, growing human impact on patterns of wildlife disease, and pathology of cervids and marine mammals. In addition, Thursday boasts a lineup of speakers from the National Wildlife Health Center, and culminates with a tour of their facility in Madison Wisconsin. Participants also will receive a copy of Gardiner and Poynton's excellent Atlas of Metazoan Parasites in Tissue Section as part of their registration. Don't miss this outstanding symposium! http://www.cldavis.org/courses/upcoming.html#66

this was an email sent from Jenn Dreyfus:

Nancy Thomas, one of the speakers at the Davis workshop, will give the same Sea Otter talk at a joing WEZAM/Path club meeting on March 13. We'll also be in touch with Brett Saladino at Covance about possible student discounts/volunteer positions. She mentioned the event to us (the path club officers), but I can't remember details of what, if anything, she was offering.

-Will keep you up to date on anything that comes of this
